A downloadable tool
Use this plugin to make any tile a light source based on the Region ID you choose throughout your maps. It works best when there are darker tiles around.

Install instructions
Download the file, insert it into YourGameName/js/plugins/ directory and specify the Region Id of all the tiles you'd like to serve as a light source.
